The Quiet Builder

This work blends a vast landscape with geometric architecture and a quiet human presence, creating a space that feels both real and constructed. The painting continues my exploration of “Constructing the Landscape”, the idea that the world we see is never just “there,” but built from layers of perception, memory, and attention.

The old man becomes part of the terrain, almost assembled from the same planes and colors that shape the mountains around him. Geometry and realism collide, suggesting how the mind reduces, selects, and organizes the world, even while the subconscious registers everything. It’s a calm meditation on how reality is formed: fragment by fragment, color by color, thought by thought.
