This work is part of my daily sketching practice.

Every day, before I start painting, I make a portrait sketch. It began as a simple warm-up, a way to enter the process without pressure. Over time, it became a ritual.

Each sketch is made quickly, using whatever paint and brushes are left on the palette. There is no correction, no refinement, no second attempt. Some work, some don’t. That’s the point.

They are not studies for future paintings and not meant to be polished drawings. They are traces of attention, movement, and decision-making in real time. Raw, imperfect, and honest.

This practice taught me that consistency matters more than perfection, and that starting is often more important than knowing exactly where you’re going.

Each piece is unique, signed, and framed 21x30cm.
